Originally from Newnan, GA, Drew attended Mercer University for his undergraduate degree in Political Science and Law, Public Policy, and Ethics. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and was awarded the “Papa Joe” Hendricks Award for Outstanding Positive Contributions to the Mercer community. He then continued his education at the Wake Forest University School of Law. He was a member of the Pro Bono Honor Society and worked with the Expungements Clinic and Elder Law Clinic, providing free services to those with criminal records and the elderly. Drew is thrilled to be a part of the Lydia J. Sartain Law Firm. While in law school, one of his favorite areas of law was Family Law. Upon graduating, he began searching for a well-established firm with deep knowledge in the practice of family law. When he discovered LJS, Drew knew it was the perfect opportunity to grow his career and learn from one of the best lawyers in the state of Georgia.

Misty is a woman who makes her own opportunities. Upon graduation from paralegal school she took a job at a firm in Downtown Atlanta, but decided the commute and rat-race wasn’t for her. So, Misty went straight to the distinguished firm of Thurman, Thurman, Miller and Rucker in Gainesville and offered to work for free just to get her foot in the door. Exhibiting her strong work ethic resulted in getting an offer to stay on board and Misty worked there for the next 11 years. Seeking a fresh start with room to grow, Misty began looking at other firms in Gainesville which led her to the doorstep of Fox, Chandler, Homans, Hicks & McKinnon, LLP. where she contributed to hundreds of cases over the next 18 years, and also where she first met Lydia J. Sartain. In 2018, Misty joined the powerhouse team at The Law Office of Lydia J. Sartain. Misty enjoys what she does and loves the competitive spirit at the firm. They are a group of ladies that do not like to lose! Misty has a strong work ethic that comes from her mother’s sage advice to always do your best in every situation.

Lisa is a retired special education teacher, as well as Lydia's sister. She received her Masters in early childhood education from Piedmont, and absolutely loved working with her students. She joined us in 2020 as our Office Assistant, taking care of answering our phones, ensuring our files are properly organized and filed, and making sure our clients feel welcomed when they come to visit us. Lisa is a Breast Cancer survivor, and is active in Relay for Life and the Special Olympics. When you visit the LJS office, you will greeted by Lisa's smiling face. She loves supporting her sister, Lydia, and has a passion for meeting and getting to know new people. She is known to "be the talker of the group", and cannot wait to know you!
